Under U.S. Law and most law codes around the world this site is completely legal based on the following observations:

Pictures are NOT appropiate when--> under US law they are defined as "child pornography":

Any image of someone under 18 (or who appears to be under 18) engaged in the following acts:
(2) ''sexually explicit conduct'' means actual or simulated -
(A) sexual intercourse, including genital-genital, oral-genital, anal-genital, or oral-anal, whether between persons of the same or opposite sex;
(B) bestiality;
(C) masturbation;
(D) sadistic or masochistic abuse; or
(E) lascivious exhibition of the genitals or pubic area of any person;

Paragraph 2(E) has been interpreted in various ways by various federal courts and creates a grey area. For guideance, the following cases/situations have been described in federal case law as constituting a "lascivious exhibition of the genitals or pubic area of any person":
(i) a clothed child in the same room with an adult whose genitals are lasciviously exposed;
(ii) a child alone in which the child is posed on a bed or in a place associated with sexual activity,
(iii) a child whose genitals or pubic area are the focal point of the image,
(iv) a child whose genitals are exposed where the child is inappropriately dressed (for example, wearing adult-like lingerie),
(v) a child who is adjusting his or her clothing so as to expose his/her genitals, and
(vi) a child posed in an "unnatural" pose or in a context which appears intended "to satisfy the cravings of a voyeur".

However, for general information and legal purposes, the subjects in images that depict the beauty of people under the age of 18 may be nude, semi-nude or clothed, but only if they follow the above given legislation.

In addition, the federal courts situated in Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and the courts of the state of California (United States) have determined that there can be a "lascivious exhibition of the genitals" where the minor is wearing underwear or other article of "abbreviate clothing" and which fits the criteria discussed above.
